What does this Excel-based spreadsheet do?
This spreadsheet helps you perform the following:
1. Given the 1-hour mean wind speed at height 10 m, it calculates the wind speed at any given time-average and height above sea level
2. Creates a wind profile curve varying with height for a given time average
3. Useful during early design checks for offshore structures with components at high elevations
How to use this Excel Sheet
The user needs to provide the 1-hour wind speed at height 10 m above MSL (mean sea level). The user also needs to provide the height and time-average of the desired wind speed
All inputs are in blue in the ‘Propeller Race’ worksheet. User should not disturb cells other than the input cells
