Lashing Design (4 Point Lashing, IMO CSS)

Description

This Excel sheet helps you design lashing ropes for 4-point lashing of a Cargo as shown in the Figure

The lashing arrangement comprises of 4 lashing ropes (2 aft and 2 fwd)

This app calculates the restraining forces and torques of the lashings and compares them against the applied forces/torques

The results can be used to check suitability of the selected lashings, or to select appropriate lashing ropes

Results can further be used to select/design lashing accessories – pad-eyes, shackles, D-rings, turnbuckles etc
