This Excel sheet helps the user obtain the required Capstan Line Pull and Capstan Power for berthing operations

The Capstan can then be selected from the required Capstan Power calculated

• Useful in berthing operations to select the desired Capstan
• Can be used to evaluate the suitability of a vessel’s capstans for berthing operations
• Based on US Navy DDS – 582
• Can be used for both Electromechanical and Electrohydraulic Capstans
• Only in SI Units
