Propeller Race Effect Calculator for Towing

What does this Excel-based App do?
This spreadsheet helps you perform the following:
1. Calculate the effect of propeller race on the available bollard pull of a tug by deducting an interaction efficiency factor αint
2. Prepare a chart for propeller flow distribution at any distance from the plane of the propeller
3. Useful especially for short towlines where interaction between propeller and towed object becomes significant

How to use this App
The user needs to provide the propeller diameter, disc area, towline properties and the distance of interest point from propeller disc
All inputs are in blue in the ‘Propeller Race’ worksheet. User should not disturb cells other than the input cells
