Keyless Propeller Fitting Calculations

Description

Based on American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) Rules, Part 4 , Chapter 3 , this application provides a comprehensive set of calculations for fitting of a keyless propeller. It takes in the geometrical inputs of the propeller together with material inputs and vessel’s parameters to give as output the critical parameters like

• Minimum pull-up length
• Pull-up load
• Minimum required mating surface pressure
• Hoop and equivalent stress

The app is easy to use, and has in-built table to pick inputs like material type for hub and shaft.
